STOCKS/ECONOMY
-Stock futures are lower after Thursday's 343-point gain for the Dow, larger 1 percent rally for the S&P 500, and a 1.5 percent surge for the Nasdaq. Investors are back to worrying about inflation and interests rates this morning.
-The yield on the 10-year Treasury bond is at 4.52 percent.
-Gold is at the $2,950 per ounce level. Bitcoin is at the $96,600 level.
-Asian markets closed mostly higher today, led by a massive 3.7 percent rally for the Hang Seng. The Shenzhen rallied 1.2 percent higher, and the Nikkei lost 0.8 percent.
OIL/ENERGY
-U.S. crude prices are up and at the $71 a barrel level.
-Gasoline prices are at $3.16 a gallon, national average.
EARNINGS SCORECARD
-Moderna (MRNA) reported a wider than expected quarterly loss, despite better than expected revenues. Its shares are down 5 percent in the premarket.
-Roku (ROKU) reported a smaller than expected quarterly loss and better than expected revenues. Its shares are jumping 14 percent higher in the premarket.
-Airbnb (ABNB) reported better than expected quarterly profits and revenues. Its shares are up 14 percent in the premarket.
-Chipmaker Applied Materials (AMAT) reported better than expected quarterly profits and revenues, but it also provided weaker than expected forward earnings guidance. Its shares are down 5 percent in the premarket.
-DraftKings (DKNG) issued better than expected forward revenue guidance. Its shares are up 5 percent in the premarket.
GAMESTOP GAMES
-GameStop (GME) is reporting considering a major investment in cryptocurrencies. Its shares are up 8 percent in the premarket.
