STOCKS/ECONOMY

-Stock futures are lower after Monday's 317-point gain for the Dow, larger 0.9 percent rise for the S&P 500, and a 1.5 percent rally for the Nasdaq. Investors are a little more skittish about the continuing Iran-Israel situation in the Middle East, but not as bearish about it as they were on Friday.

-The yield on the 10-year Treasury bond is down to 4.40 percent.

-Gold is at the $3,404 per ounce level. Bitcoin is at the $105,800 level.

-Asian markets closed mixed today. The Nikkei rose 0.6 percent, the Hang Seng lost 0.3 percent, and the Shenzhen fell 0.1 percent.

OIL/ENERGY

-U.S. crude prices are up and at the $73 a barrel level.

-Gasoline prices are up to $3.16 a gallon, national average.

-Solar companies are getting hit as the Senate’s version of President Trump’s tax bill would phase out renewable energy tax breaks. SolarEdge (SEDG) shares are down 30 percent in the premarket, Sunrun (RUN) shares are down 36 percent.

AI FEUD

-Microsoft (MSFT) and OpenAI's partnership is reportedly in jeopardy as executives from the two companies are having arguments over a number of projects. Microsoft shares are down 1 percent in the premarket.

PHARMA

-Eli Lilly (LLY) is buying gene editing company Verve Therapeutics (VERV) for $1.3 billion. The companies are already partnering to develop gene-editing therapies to reduce high cholesterol. Verve shares are up 78 percent in the premarket, Eli Lilly shares are down 1 percent.

MAHA MOMENT

-Kraft Heinz (KHC) says it will remove all artificial dyes in its products by 2027. Its shares are flat in the premarket.

HOME BUILD

-Home build Lennar (LEN) reported better than quarterly revenue. Its shares are up 2 percent in the premarket.
