STOCKS/ECONOMY

-Stock futures are higher as the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq begin the week at all-time highs after last week's strong rallies. Some of the Big Tech names are leading the futures higher this morning.

-The yield on the 10-year Treasury bond is down to 4.25 percent.

-Gold is at the $3,290 per ounce level. Bitcoin is at the $107,700 level.

-Asian markets closed mixed today. The Hang Seng lost 0.9 percent, the Nikkei rose 0.8 percent, and the Shenzhen gained 0.8 percent.

OIL/ENERGY

-U.S. crude prices are down and at the $65 a barrel level.

-Gasoline prices are at $3.18 a gallon, national average.

PHARMA

-Moderna (MRNA) said its experimental mRNA-based flu vaccine produced a stronger immune response than a currently available shot for the virus in a late-stage trial. Moderna hopes to combine this new vaccine with its COVID shots. Its shares are up 4 percent in the premarket.

TRADE TRIUMPH

-Canada has decided to rescind its digital services tax after President Trump ended trade talks between the U.S. and Canada over his objections to the tax. Canada now says it expects a "mutually beneficial comprehensive trade arrangement with the U.S."

BUDGET BATTLE

-The Senate will begin voting on the budget bill this morning after a weekend filled with delaying tactics and other procedures.

MOVING AMERICA

-Tesla (TSLA) successfully delivered a new Model Y to a buyer using driverless mode directly from the end of the Giga production line in Texas. Tesla shares are down 1 percent in the premarket.

TIKTOK TUSSLE

-President Trump says he has a number of "very wealthy people" willing to buy TikTok. The Trump administration has repeatedly delayed the banning of the social media platform as it tries to get its Chinese owner ByteDance to sell it off to an American buyer.

TRANS MOVE

-The Trump administration is reportedly considering pulling federal funding from hospital companies that offer minor trans surgeries and drug treatments.
