Sclafani Family
When I recorded this podcast last month about the outstanding incoming class of 2030 freshmen, (arriving on campus in 2026), I was not sure if one of those stellar commits, Mike Sclafani, was the son or another relative of a Lion player by the same name who graduated in 1994.
It turns out he is indeed the son of the elder Mike Sclafani, who ended up contributing in 1993 with a pair of sacks and another TFL.
While that 1993 team struggled to a 1-9 record, it laid the building blocks for a brief window of good times for the Lions. The team would go on to post its first winning season in 23 years in 1994, and the 1993 freshmen (the first freshmen allowed to play under Ivy rules since World War II), went on to lead the 1996 8-2 team that posted thrilling victory after victory.
